It is excellent for the care of dry, dehydrated and mature skin because it provides it with all the necessary moisture. Cocoa butter and all cosmetics with this ingredient can slightly burden the skin (it has comedogenic properties), so they are not suitable for skin prone to acne.

It is especially recommended in the prevention of stretch marks, which is why it is ideal for skin care in pregnant women. It does not cause irritations and has a low allergenic potential. It is rich in highly saturated fatty acids and deeply hydrates the skin, thus maintaining its elasticity.

Recipes with cocoa butter

Body salve

• 80 g cocoa butter
• 10 grams of almond oil
• 5 grams of beeswax
• 5 drops of chamomile essential oil

Heat the water in a glass beaker and add all the ingredients except the essential oil. When all the ingredients are dissolved, add the essential oil and stir. Pour the mixture into a silicone container and leave in the refrigerator for at least 4-5 hours, until it hardens. Use the tile during or after a shower for skin care, it is best to apply it on damp warm skin.

Hair mask with damaged ends

• 20 ml of cocoa butter
• 20 ml of almond oil
• 20 ml of coconut oil
• 10 drops of lavender essential oil

First, melt the cocoa butter and coconut oil in a steamer (meaning melt over a pot containing boiled water). Put drops of essential oil in a separate bowl and add liquid cocoa butter, coconut oil and almond oil. Mix everything together with a wooden or plastic spoon, then pour into a small bowl. If not used immediately, place the mask in the refrigerator. When you want to use it again, let it stand at room temperature for at least an hour before use.
Apply the mask to damaged hair ends before washing hair. Leave for at least 20 minutes, but preferably overnight. We recommend using a mask at sea where the hair is especially exposed to the sun and sea salt. Apply to hair before going to the beach, for extra protection. Your hair will be softer than ever.

Cocoa tile for dry skin

• 60 ml of melted cocoa butter
• 10 drops of lavender essential oil

Melt the cocoa butter over a pot of boiled water. Put the essential oil in a separate bowl and add the liquid cocoa butter. Stir well with a wooden or plastic spoon. Pour into the silicone mold you put on the saucer (this will make it easier to transfer the mold to the refrigerator). Let the mold stand in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, until it hardens.
Use a cocoa butter bar after showering or sunbathing, when the skin is still warm and moist. Apply butter on the skin, then massage it with your hands. We especially recommend using it after sunbathing or after the skin burns in the sun.
