Drying the elderflower produces an excellent herbal tea. The elderflower has a characteristic light yellow color, with a sweet fruity scent and taste.

Elderflower tea is commonly used for problems with bronchitis, asthma, and coughing. It has a positive effect on the body because it promotes sweating, and it is also recommended to drink when you have the flu or are very cold.

It is rich in anthocyanins: These compounds give the fruit its characteristic dark purple color and are strong antioxidants with anti-inflammatory effects (5).

The exact nutritional composition of elderflower depends on the variety of the plant, the ripeness of the berries, and the environment and climatic conditions.

Ingredients: 100% elderflower (Sambucus nigra, flos).

Preparation: Pour 2 tablespoons of tea with 2-3 dcl of boiling water, cover and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. Then strain and sweeten to taste.

Storage: Store in a dry and dark place.
