The oldest methods of extracting active substances from immortelle are the so-called maceration: immersing the fresh plant in various vegetable oils and distilling. Macerate, a semi-product obtained by this process, has a very intense smell and is used for the production of face and body creams.

Today, immortelle is mostly distilled and immortelle essential oil is used. It is used to reduce the effects of premature aging and maintain the youthful appearance of the skin. Immortelle essential oil helps prevent the formation of wrinkles, helps slow skin aging, and maintains a fresh and youthful appearance.

The olive fruit contains about 22% oil. Also, the fruit is rich in oleic fatty acid, which has a beneficial effect on dry skin, soothes irritated skin, and preserves the skin’s defense mechanism.
