Orange is a citrus fruit. In favorable conditions, one tree can produce up to 1000 fruits, but usually yields 500 fruits per year. The fruits grow from November to May. It is also classified as one of the most productive fruits after grapes and bananas. Orange’s place of origin is India and China. It usually grows in warmer or southern regions. Essential oil is made from oranges. It is obtained in three ways: squeezing from fresh fruits, steam distillation from fresh fruits, and distillation of by-products that remain during industrial production. (1)
