Chamomile (Matricariae flos) is a white-flowering plant that is widespread throughout Europe and Asia and grows wild. It is characterized by numerous medicinal properties, the most well-known of which is its calming effect on the body.

Chamomile is an annual plant with a stem height of 20 to 50 centimeters. Its leaves are small and its flowers, which are located at the tops of branches, are yellow in the center and surrounded by white petals.

Chamomile tea is made from the flowers of this plant and is one of the most popular teas in Croatia and the world. It is a hardy plant that grows best in a sunny position and well-drained soil. The flowers are harvested when they open on sunny days. Dried chamomile flowers are used to make a delicious tea.

We will often turn to this sweet, soft taste, especially when we want to relax, when we have insomnia, when we are looking for a way to get rid of accumulated daily stress. It is best to drink it warm, as this is when the chamomile essential oils, which give it its beneficial properties, work optimally.

Chamomile tea is an excellent ally for the beauty and health of the skin. It is rich in flavonoids and sesquiterpenes as well as other antioxidants that have a strong positive effect on the human body.

In addition to tea, you can also prepare tinctures, oil, and skin exfoliants from chamomile flowers.

Ingredients: 100% Chamomile flower (Matricariae flos)

Preparation method: Pour 1 teaspoon of tea with 2 dcl of boiling water and let it sit covered for 5-7 minutes. Then strain and sweeten to taste. Drink 3-4 times a day.

Storage: Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature of 25⁰C.
